The Food Supplier Development Program is a program developed by Global Standards for the conformity assessment of food safety management systems.

It is designed to be implemented across different segments of the food industry, including food manufacturing, packaging, storage and distribution, and services (such as transport washing).

The evaluation is flexible, therefore there are 2 evaluation levels depending on the organization’s compliance.

Minor nonconformity -2
Major nonconformity -10
Critical nonconformity -100
Qualification criteria for obtaining certification
Equal or greater than 80 All major nonconformities must be closed to obtain certification.
Equal or greater than 70 All major nonconformities must be closed. If no major nonconformities exist, minor nonconformities must be closed until reaching a score of 80.
Less than 70 It is considered that the requirements are not met and the full audit must be repeated.
