Certification of Good Agricultural Practices and Manufacturing
PrimusGFS is an auditing system recognized by the GFSI (Global Food-Safety Initiative), developed by Azzule Systems and used for several years in different parts of the fresh-products industry. It was designed to be globally used in the primary production and manufacture sectors (including the horticultural, grains, and legumes sectors.)
The PrimusGFS audit has defined seven basic areas that an agricultural company must take into consideration for the production or manufacture of their products (as it applies):
1. Food-Safety Management System (FSMS)
2. Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) – Farm
3. Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) – Greenhouse
4. Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) – Harvest Crew
5. Good Manufacture Practices (GMP)
6. Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP)
7. Preventive Controls (PC) – Voluntary
